Phoenix Ancient Art is run by brothers Hicham and Ali Aboutaam. The Phoenix site (www.phoenixancientart.ch/phoenix_ancient_art) is always a good place to start, and it is also a good idea to look here, of course. The good news is that a sister blog, or more accurately, a brother’s blog has been born, check it out – www.hichamaboutaam.com.

I recently saw a brochure from Phoenix Ancient Art, and I was really impresse with what I saw. I am not that educated in art in general, but the varying pieces caught my eye, and it was extremely interesting. There is so much to learn about our history and past civilizations

Phoenix Ancient Art S.A., which is run by brothers Ali and Hicham Aboutaam, has two galleries strategically located in Geneva and New York. (Phoenix Ancient Art is exclusively represented by their agent, Electrum.)

The Galleries opening hours are:
• Geneva Gallery : Mon. thru’ Fri., 10:30am to 6:30pm; Sat. by appointment only
• New York Gallery: Mon. thru’ Fri., 9:30 am to 5:30pm, Sat. by appointment only

Good idea to check that these opening hours are correct as they can vary by season or if there active exhibits.

Antique art is something that is so beautiful, and is rich with history and information on past civilizations. I love going to galleries and exhibits to view the various ancient art works and antique art.

While I do appreciate the value of the art, I am unfortunately quite ignorant as to the pieces themselves, their history, the civilizations they originate from, and the styles and periods in history. It is for this reason that I have made a concerted effort to try and learn more.

One of the things I have done is visit galleries, like Phoenix Ancient Art, run by Ali Aboutaam and his brother Hicham Aboutaam. The galleries themselves held a wealth of information as well as many artifacts and pieces of art, and the brochures and general information available make for quite an enlightening experience.

I am planning to go again – anyone know of any special items or exhibits I should focus on?
